Physiotherapy
Physiotherapists are highly trained in the body's movement and correct biomechanical function. Physiotherapy is beneficial not only for individuals with acute or chronic pain/injury, or disease resulting in disability, but also for those interested in injury prevention. In your appointment, your therapist will provide a thorough assessment of your injury/condition causing either acute or chronic pain in order to determine where the primary source of that pain is coming from. Once the primary structure(s) are determined, a individualized treatment plan is created with the patient's recovery goals in mind. At Orca Physiotherapy, the physiotherapist and patient work together as a team in order to achieve the patient's functional goals.
You're physiotherapy treatment may include a combination of any of the following: Education/activity modifications, manual therapy, therapeutic exercise prescription (ie. stabilization, balance, prioprioception, strengthening, stretches), IMS/Acupuncture/Dry Needling, ultrasound.
